Brian Holland is a Partner in the Natural Resources, Commercial, and Litigation Departments. His practice focuses on commercial transactions and related work in the energy and natural resources area, including transactions in the following industries: power generation (including wind energy), oil and gas, and transmission (oil, gas, and electric). Mr. Holland worked for years as Senior Counsel for the Montana Power Company in Butte, Montana, and brought that experience with him when he joined the firm in 2004. Prior to joining the Montana Power Company Legal Department in 1992, Mr. Holland’s experience included work for a litigation firm in Seattle, Washington (1988-92), the Butte Silver Bow County Attorney’s Office (1984-88), and as a law clerk to a federal magistrate and a state district court judge (1982-83). Mr. Holland joined the firm’s Helena office in 2004, although he still lives in Butte where he serves local clients.

Mr. Holland graduated from the University of Montana Law School in 1982, subsequent to receiving an economics degree in 1978 from Carroll College in Helena, Montana.
