Fred C. Rathert Of Counsel
Fred C. Rathert joined the Natural Resources Department in the firm’s Williston office in 1998. Mr. Rathert has been in private practice in Williston since 1965. He earned a law degree with honors from the University of Montana School of Law. Through the years Mr. Rathert has been active in the real estate sections of the State Bar of Montana and the North Dakota State Bar Association. He has served for over 15 years on the Mineral Title Standards Committee, Section of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law of the State Bar Association of North Dakota and is a co-author of the North Dakota Mineral Title Standards. His principal areas of practice are in oil and gas, real estate, banking and commercial law. He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in North Dakota and Montana, the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Eighth and Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Montana, the North Dakota State Bar Association, American Law Institute and the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Institute.
